Salary: $68,000 - 93,500 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or another technical discipline
• Experience in hardware development or electronics test engineering
• Understanding of electrical test equipment, test procedures, data acquisition systems, and instrumentation
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements
• Preferred: Masters or PhD in an engineering discipline such as software, computer, electrical, aerospace, or mechanical engineering
• Preferred: Understanding of satellite subsystems and how they interact within a spacecraft
• Preferred: Python programming experience
• Preferred: Experience designing hardware from concept through production
• Preferred: Experience with environmental design testing, including vibration, shock, thermal, or TVAC testing
• Preferred: Experience in a hardware or spacecraft production environment

• Develop test plans and programs for spaceflight hardware and systems development
• Manage and conduct acceptance, qualification, and proto-flight test programs
• Develop automated test hardware and platforms to support testing
• Support spaceflight hardware design and development, with a focus on improving testability and manufacturability
• Help assess commercial off-the-shelf component test levels against mission environmental test requirements
• Contribute to engineering and business processes that support our growth and capabilities
• Help develop engineering best practices in testing, design for manufacture, and engineering change

We are hiring an Avionics Test Engineer I for our Space Systems team, based at our global headquarters in Long Beach, California. We build rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems, and our Space Systems team has supported more than 1,700 missions. In this role, you will work on the electrical systems and electronics behind our space missions, with deliverables supporting internal leadership, our board, and investors. The position may involve extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and computer work, as well as occasional exposure to moderate noise, dust, and fumes in production areas. Total compensation is listed at $74,950–$105,525, including base salary of $68,000–$93,500; level and pay depend on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Equity grants are subject to vesting and stock-price performance.
